Adenmore Road and the underpass

Adenmore Road connects Catford and Catford Bridge stations and currently has restricted access for vehicles. It is an important access route for pedestrians and cyclists using the train stations and local people connecting through to the town centre or onwards towards Ladywell Fields.

A parklet will be created with planting and seating to help make this a pleasant space. Cycle parking will be introduced with bike racks and covered bike parking alongside the external wall of Catford Bridge station.

The existing underpass that connects to the southern side of Catford Road (South Circular Road) will be widened to improve access for walking and cycling. Current 'infills' within the underpass will be removed and new lighting will be installed. This will improve sight lines and make it feel safer. There may also be an opportunity to introduce new public art in the underpass.
